French Toast is one of my favorite breakfast foods to make. On a lazy Sunday morning, it’s nice to make a nice an easy breakfast to enjoy while watching a favorite TV show with my fiance.
I hadn’t made french toast in years! After finally deciding to go full vegan, this was one of my very first meals I made. It’s super easy and super delicious!
This recipe serves 2-3 people.
Dipping Ingredients:
2 Ripe Bananas
3/4 Cup Almond milk (or your favorite vegan milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon all-spice
Blend all of these ingredients in a food processor (or blender if you don’t have a processor), until smooth.
Toast Ingredients:
6 slices of Ezekiel Bread (I used plain, but cinnamon raisin might be tasty too!)
Maple Syrup & Cinnamon for topping
Directions:
Add 1 tablespoon vegan butter to skillet. Warm until the butter is melted, over medium heat.
Drop bread into banana mixture and place in skillet. Cook until golden brown, approximately two minutes on each side.
Repeat until done.
Top with syrup and Enjoy!
This french toast looks delicious Mallory! I’m obsessed with using banana’s in baked goods and always buy extra just for that reason. I can’t wait to try this out. Thanks for sharing:)
